Pumpsets Ltd are proud to have supported Butyl Products Ltd at the Ministry of Defence CPD Industry Awareness Day

We were pleased to attend and exhibit at the inaugural MOD CPD Industry training day.

The discussions had with a number of engineers during the day demonstrated the support -with particular regard to pump equipment- that Butyl Products Ltd can offer the Ministry of Defence supply chain. The subjects talked about during the day were varied and encompassed many different pump applications and types including submersible pumps for handling black water, engine driven portable sets and solar powered pumps for water transfer.

Hidrostal Screw centrifugal pumps sized for a vacuum sewage pump system. This application required pumps that combined solids handling capabilities with low NPSH required characteristics. The design of the Hidrostal pump and impeller allow them to be used in applications where many other centrifugal solids handling pump cannot operate due to their unique 'Net Positive Suction Head required' characteristics. This also allows these pump types to lift liquids at greater depths and with longer suction pipe lines or as in this case on a pump system which draws sewage from a vacuum sewage system collection tank.
